From there, the fresh felt is sent to us in Western Norway, where every hat is cut and sewn in small batches. But the principle is simple: the wool felt insulates your head from the intense heat rising around you, helping your head stay cooler while your body is free to sweat. It is naturally self-cleaning, so the hat usually does not need washing between sessions.
